What is a small group?
Small groups are the heart of the church. A small group is a group of around twelve people (more or less) who meet on a regular basis with the purpose of building friendships and growing in the knowledge and likeness of Jesus Christ.
Why a small group?
A small group encourages an informal, friendly atmosphere for Bible study, reflection and growth. It offers the opportunity to begin to understand about ourselves and about our world.
In a small group you can build life-lasting friendships. Participants get to know each other well, which helps us feel connected to one another and to the church as a whole.
The presence of the Spirit, the gathering of people in the name of Jesus Christ and the living, active Word of God combine to make an amazing climate of growth.
If you would like more information about Brookdale's small groups, or you want to join one, contact the church office at 279-0983.
Our goals are to: provide a place of fellowship for men; teach men how to be holy; teach men how to be good husbands; teach men how to be good fathers; teach men how to be good leaders, especially in the church; teach men how to be men of integrity in the workplace; set up mentor/accountability groups for men; and provide ministry opportunities for men.
