There will be a free dinner for the whole family from 6:00-6:30. After dinner, parents are welcome to stay for coffee and dessert or run a few quick errands while the kids (K-6) hang out at the church for games, crafts, and Bible lessons.
During the next several weeks, while our ministries are on hold due to the Covid-19 crisis, we invite parents of young children to join our Children's Ministry Facebook Group.
From time to time you'll find some activity ideas and helpful hints about how you can study the scriptures with your kids while they are out of school. Just click on the link and click JOIN.
Later on, after the Covid-19 crisis has passed, we'll resume our normal activities and ministries listed below -- stay tuned for updates!
Brookdale Children's Ministry provides programs that enable our children to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in their faith:
Sunday School: Each Sunday from 9:45-10:45 a.m., children spend time learning about Jesus Christ in fun and creative ways.
Sunday Child Care: Quality child care is provided for our little ones during worship services on Sunday mornings
Mark Twain Partnership: Volunteers from Brookdale Church spend an hour or more on a flexible schedule, helping out at the neighborhood elementary school. They can help students with reading, writing, or just spend some time visiting with kids during lunch.
Club Tuesday: The second Tuesday of each month from 6:00-7:30 pm, kids in grades K-6 are invited to "Club Tuesday."
Vacation Bible School: Lots of volunteers are needed each summer to make VBS a success!
